Animals Matter

One reason animals are so vulnerable to cruelty is because there is no universal agreement between nations that animals can suffer and feel pain. There is an urgent need for an international commitment to protect animals and their welfare. Such a commitment would inspire political leaders, organisations and individuals to treat animals better and will be the beginning of the end of animal cruelty across the world. It is our responsibility to ensure that animals are given the protection they deserve and that the indisputable link between animal welfare, the protection of people and the planet is recognised.

  1. I appreciate this post, although, even if the world were more educated on the fact that animals do feel pain, we would still have the assholes (excuse my language) out there that like to take their anger out on others, especially vulnerable animals who can’t fight back.

    • Truthbetold, I do believe you are telling the truth. There some people whose souls are unfathomably confused to the point that they would do such wickedness.

There are several organizations that do work on an international scale, but due to different cultures around the globe, it is hard to standardize this. I was told by a board member of VSPA that all the money that goes into animal welfare would not fix nearly even 1/2 of the animal abuse that goes on in China. People have different cultural perspectives, and I suppose we have to work together to relay our views.

  2. you are so right, they are very vulnerable to cruelty. Danger is everywhere, it breaks my heart when i see it being done. and we do need to protect them, they are beutiful smart creatures, and together we can stop it, right?

  3. Humans have no idea how different the world would be without animals! I am a safari guide in South Africa and I cannot imagine life without animals…
